Donate food and toiletries

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food. Where possible we also like to include toiletries in our emergency parcels.

Our shopping list on the right will show any items that we need right now.  The list is also available on a free to download app,  https://bankthefood.org/ which will let you know, in real time, what our current requirements are and can even send you a ‘ping’ when you are in the supermarket. Please note that, as we do not have storage facilities for fresh food, we are only able to accept donations of food in packets/boxes/tins/long life cartons. Thank you.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
