Cheadle and District Foodbank has been supporting its clients now for 10 years and to celebrate our 10 YEAR BIRTHDAY and to raise funds, 20 supporters of the Foodbank, will undertake a 10k walk around Uttoxeter Racecourse prior to the race meeting commencing. One of our long standing community supporters, Marchington Community Shop is teaming up with us and will also benefit from the fundraiser.
As a registered charity, which is wholly run by volunteers, we service a client base that not only encompasses Cheadle but also all the neighbouring villages, Uttoxeter, Marchington, Blythe Bridge and out towards Stafford.
To put this into somewhat of a perspective, during the last 10 years we have provided approximately 100 tonnes of food to individuals, families and children in desperate need of help, as well as funding Christmas meals. festive meat packs and other initiatives during the year to ensure we help everyone as best we can.
